Social Networks and Viral Advertising
Puiblished (in International Journal of Law and Information Technology) an article focusing on the use of social relations in advertising - with special focus on online, social networks (e.g. Facebook, YouTube, Twitter etc,) and viral marketing. This article is based on presentations and discussions at inter alia Stanford Law School, University of New South Wales (Sydney), and Stockholm University.
Marketing Law and Neuroeconomics
I am currently interested in how behavioral economics and neuroscience may play a role in the construction of marketing law, including in particular the unfair Commercial practices directive. An article based on a presentation in June 2010 at the European University Institute concerning this subject is published in Journal of Consumer Policy.
Unfair Commercial Practices Directive
This directive is the main focus of my recent and current research. I have published an introductory article about the consequences in Danish law of the implementation of the directive (September 2008, the Danish Weekly Law Journal [Ugeskrift for Retsvæsen]). Two other articles discussing the directive more in depth and to some extent criticising the European court of Justice's interpretation of the directive has been written. One was published in April 2010 (the Danish Weekly Law Journal [Ugeskrift for Retsvæsen]), and another in European University Institute's working paper series following a presentation at European University Institute in November 2009.
Treatises on Internet Law and Marketing Law
Together with colleagues at Copenhagen Business School and Copenhagen University, I am maintaining a treatise on marketing law (»Markedsføringsretten«). The second edition was published in 2011. Together with colleagues at Copenhagen Business School, Copenhagen university, Aarhus University and Aalborg University, I am maintaining (and editing) a treatise on Internet law (»Internetretten«). The first edition was published in 2008. These books are used for teaching at Copenhagen Business School and the IT University of Copenhagen.
